Marla's Beginnings
Trained in classical piano from the age of 6 and converted
to Christ at age seven, Marla began writing worship music at the age of 8.
At age 17, she had a powerful experience with God and received the
baptism of the Holy Spirit. From that time
until now, she has led thousands in worship – bringing non-Christians to Christ, and
sharing her music and her faith with people around the world. Marla now
leads worship on guitar, piano, and also plays french horn.
More About Marla
Marla graduated Summa Cum Laude from college with a B.S. in
Biology, and she completed medical school and received her M.D. with a 3.5
GPA. Her
ministry continued to grow while she attended college and medical school as she ministered both in
the U.S. and Europe - leading worship, preaching and prophesying. A
crucial decision came at the end of medical school, when she felt the Lord
calling her to leave medicine behind to pursue her calling in the area of
worship and ministry alongside her husband, Kurt.
She was named a regional
finalist in the AGMA Song competition with her hit single "Let Your
Kingdom Come". Her evangelistic music video "There is a
River" was filmed and aired in Copenhagen, Denmark. She also
has ministered on
the international television broadcast of Kensington Temple (London,
England - Pastor Colin Dye).
Her heart for missions has led her on many missions
outreaches, including Albania and Evangelistic Concert Tours in
Poland and Slovakia, where she and her husband were interviewed on secular radio
and television, testifying of Christ.
Marla
was reviewed by 7 Ball Magazine as one of their annual 25 "Unsigned Artists Who
Rock", and her song Let Your Kingdom Come
was featured on Release
Magazine's SODA CD.
Having written approximately 100
worship songs, including several in French and one in Japanese, she
has seen many of these songs used in churches across the U.S. and in other
nations. Kurt and Marla have ministered in many
nations of the world and have been used by God to bring a beautiful move
of the Holy Spirit, where healings, deliverances and other miracles
occur. Marla has taught in seminars, retreats, camps, and other
venues. Sharing in the areas of worship, prayer and intercession,
spiritual warfare, healing, and other subjects, she has seen great
blessing and encouragement come to those she has ministered to. To
