A
Prayer to Know and Fulfill God's Perfect
Will for Our Lives “Surely His salvation is near to those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him [and is ready to be appropriated] that [the manifest presence of God, His] glory may tabernacle and abide in our land.” Psalm 85: 9 A call to joy – for salvation
belongs to our God! Arise! Arise, for the glory of the Lord has risen upon us! Let the Lord rise over us and let His glory be seen upon His people! The hearts of those who see His light will swell with joy. They are radiant with the joy of the Lord! Oh, Lord, we recognize, today,
that as the redeemed of God, we have cause for great and exceeding joy!
Without Your life we are nothing. Who
could live and not see death or who can deliver himself, in his own strength,
from the powerful hand of death?
We were dead in our sins – we were doomed.
Yet You, in Your wonderful love, mercy, and grace have redeemed us from
useless ways of living! You have
set us free to walk in newness of life because of the price paid with the
precious blood of Christ. You have
purchased us, and we are Yours because of Your great love!
Our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and because of this
we rejoice! We remember Your
salvation so we may recover cheerfulness, encouraging strength, and so we will
always know joy and gladness while we live!
Our salvation is due to our God, Who is seated on the throne and to the
Lamb! To God and to The Lamb we owe
our deliverance! Encouraged and strengthened with the joy of the Lord, we are filled with longing to see Your glory achieved in us as we fulfill Your purposes for us. Not unto us - but to Your name be glory! Far be it from us to glory in anything but in the cross of Christ. To You we dedicate our lives. We are not our own. Let us glorify You here on the earth by completing the work You’ve given us to do. Making
the most of our redeemed lives Teach us to number our days that we may have hearts of wisdom. Cause us to know and appreciate the measure of our days and realize how transient our stay in this world is. Teach us - and help us conduct ourselves in a manner pleasing to you and worthy of You throughout our lives. We ask for strength to live with purpose. Let us live worthily and accurately; not unwise and foolish. We choose to be wise, sensible, intelligent people who fear the Lord and walk in His ways. Help us to make the most of our time - refusing to be vague, thoughtless and foolish. Give us understanding. Raise up a people who have ears that hear and eyes that see, and who firmly grasp the will of the Lord. Our desire is for Your name and
Your glory to be lifted up in our lives. Let
Your work, the signs of Your power be revealed to Your servants and Your
glorious majesty to their children. Let
the beauty, the delightfulness and favor of the Lord God be upon us; confirm and
establish the work of our hands. Yes!
The work of our hands - confirm and establish. For unless You establish the works of our hands our labors
are in vain. Chosen
for His Glory Before we were formed in the womb, You knew and approved of us as Your chosen. From the womb You called us; You have made us instruments in whom You will be glorified. We possess this treasure, the divine Light - in human, earthly vessels - so the grandeur and exceeding greatness of Your power may shine forth, bringing glory to You. Reveal, the wealth of Your glory in dealing with us, the vessels of Your mercy. You have purposed, in Your kindness to love us so we might live for the praise of Your glorious grace. Continue to flood our hearts with light so we can truly grasp the hope to which You have called us! Let us grow in understanding the immeasurable, surpassing greatness of Your power in and for us who continually believe! Let us truly grasp Christ in us, the hope of glory! For
I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and
plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final
outcome. Jeremiah 29:11 You desire the best for mankind.
We know based on Your Word, You desire that no one should perish.
Even while we were sinners Christ died for us. You have promised to supply our every need and to care for
us. You are looking and longing to
be gracious to us. You have great
things prepared for those who love YOU! O
give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness
endure forever! Oh
that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and
loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul
with good. Oh,
that men would praise [and confess] to the Lord for His goodness and
loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men! For
He has broken the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron apart. Oh,
that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and
loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men! When
they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble and sorrow, He
pours contempt upon princes and causes them to wander in waste places where
there is no road. Yet
He raises the poor and needy from affliction and makes their families like a
flock. The upright shall see it and be glad, but all iniquity shall shut its
mouth. Whoso
is wise [if there be any truly wise] will observe and heed those things; and
they will diligently consider the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord. Ps.
107; 1,8,9,15,16,21,22,31,39-42. ~Selah~ Seek First the Kingdom of God You are good, with complete impartiality, for You are not a respecter of persons. Yet, in our land, in our own lives, and in the lives of those around us we see our desperation for You. Your word says, ‘When the Lord arises upon us His glory will be seen on us.’ ‘When He comes to be glorified in His saints He will be marveled at in His glory reflected in all who believe.’ We long to see more of Your glory revealed in us, Your saints, Your consecrated people. We long to see more of Your intervention. Has unbelief limited the working of Your mighty power? Forgive us Oh, God! You said if Your
people would humble themselves, pray, and seek Your face - repenting from
wicked ways - You would hear from heaven and bring forgiveness and healing.
We confess we need you to heal our land, we need you to heal our lives,
we need you to heal the situations we see directly around us.
We need an outpouring of Your power into our lives and into the lives of
those around us. We believe Your
eyes are open and Your ears are attentive to our prayers.
You have told us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness and
all we need will be added unto us. Your
face Lord, we will seek. Earnestly
we will seek You; You are our God. You
have never forsaken those who seek You. Our
souls long and faint for You in a dry land in need of the rain of Your spirit.
Quench our thirsty spirits with the Living Water! Repentance We know Your hand is not shortened that You cannot save. We know You are faithful to Your word. We will trust You to fulfill Your promises for You are who You say You are, and You will do what You say You will do. We humble ourselves, seek Your face and remove from our midst yokes of oppression - wherever they exist. We take away the finger pointed in scorn and unrighteous judgment toward the oppressed and the godly. We take away every form of false, harsh, unjust and wicked speaking. We repent for sins of
self-centeredness and idolatry. We rise out of the graves of self-centeredness!
Let Your life fill us, for You
alone give life and breath to all! We
humble ourselves, turning away from self-centeredness and You revive the spirits
of the humble. We repent for
relying on the strength of our own minds and reasoning to save us in difficulty. We repent for assuming knowledge of You suffices for
relationship with You. We repent
for having this form of godliness but denying the power thereof. We yield ourselves to You and ask You to deliver us from any
pride or rebellion which would prevent us from fulfilling Your will. {{{Ask the Lord to purify your heart and sanctify your desires. Truly seek His face. Pour your heart out to Him – He is a refuge for us}}} Help us Lord, grow
in sensitivity to how our sin grieves You.
Give us godly sorrow that leads to true repentance.
Thank You that you heal our faithlessness and love us freely.
We receive Your correction knowing You correct us in love. There
is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Protection from the enemy and
strength for battle In order to fulfill Your purposes
for us, we recognize we must be on guard against the enemy.
We choose to be vigilant and always cautious, knowing we are not
wrestling with flesh and blood, but against world rulers of this present
darkness. We gird ourselves with
the belt of truth, put on the breastplate of integrity and righteousness, we
shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, we lift up the shield
of faith, we take up the helmet of salvation, and the sword the Spirit wields
– the Word of God. We pray on
every occasion and in every season. We
listen to You and You are an enemy to our enemies.
As our own submission and obedience is secured, we stand in readiness to
punish insubordinate spirits. We
ask for wisdom and discernment for recognizing things
not of You, so we are alert to Satan’s antics. {{{
Seek God for discernment and use the Sword of the Spirit to cut off the enemy.
Bind and curse the work of
the enemy in the situations you bring to the Father; pray His will be
accomplished }}}. We praise and thank You! For in Christ’s name we have authority over all power of the enemy; You have overcome the world! Christ is seated far above all rule and authority and has all things under His feet. All angels, authorities and powers are made subservient to Him. By virtue of bring in Christ we have been raised up together with Him! We rejoice for we are in Him and He is Head of all! We abide in the shadow of the Almighty, Whose power no foe can withstand. Your right hand O Lord, is glorious in power! Your right hand shatters the enemy. You teach our hands to war, and give plenty of room for our steps under us, so our feet do not slip. You give us courage and strength by the power of Your Holy Spirit to pursue our enemies and overtake them. We will not relent until they are consumed. In Your power and with Your word we become sharp threshing instruments. We thresh mountains, beating them small and making hills like chaff. Because
he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on
high because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My
mercy, love, and kindness – trusts and relies on ME, knowing I will never
forsake him, no never]. He shall
call upon Me and I will answer him. I
will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation!”
Ps
91: 15-16 Be Ever Filled Like Paul we recognize nothing good dwells in our flesh. For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Holy Spirit. We long to do what is right and walk in Your ways, but cannot perform it. But, Thank God, You will deliver us from the shackles of death! For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed us from the law of sin and death! We seek You and Your strength. Let us be continually filled with Your Holy Spirit so our desires and even our impulses are driven by a Godly unction. Daily we pour out our confessions and cast our concerns upon You. We cannot bear these burdens alone. We pour out our hearts and place all confidence in You; You are a refuge for us. As we seek You in our weakness, You fill us with Your strength. You must fill us, for it is not by our own might or power but by Your Spirit that we will accomplish Your will. We continually fail when we try to change our ways through self-determination. Or else, we become passionless and mechanical legalists. Help us to pursue You in simplicity; trusting and humbly, with childlike faith. Faces Set Like Flint We set our desire on things that gratify the Holy Spirit. We choose the narrow path which leads to life. We choose life and not destructive, fleshly ways of the lower nature. We resist conformity to carnal ways of living and thinking. Rather, we pursue You with our whole hearts and renew our minds in Your word. We delight ourselves in You, obeying Your commands. In all circumstances we strive to keep attitudes of gratitude for Your ways. As we behold You and require Your presence as a vital necessity, we are changed. For where Your Spirit resides, there is liberty and freedom from bondage! As we seek You and behold You, with a repentant heart and unveiled face, we are constantly being transfigured into Your very image from one degree of glory to another! You change our fleshly desires, even fleshly impulses - for by Your Spirit, You work within us the will and desire to accomplish Your good pleasure. It is Your work within that makes us complete in every good work, strengthening us, and equipping us with all we need to do Your will. For
the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded.
Therefore have I set My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be
put to shame. Isaiah 50: 7 Our Hope in Him Let Your very presence, become
our greatest desire. Let our hope
be found in You. With our hope in
You, we will be ever filled, for You never leave the righteous forsaken.
Though, hope deferred makes the heart sick,
a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
Now, because of You, our hopes are no longer deferred, our hearts are
made whole, for You fill our desire. “Delight
yourself in the Lord and He will give You the desires of Your heart!” Psalm
37:4 “Seek
ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be
added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 We trust you will equip us so we fulfill Your purposes for us. You have given us the precious, priceless gift of Your Holy Spirit! We thank You for Your Spirit. Your Holy Spirit, Your very presence within us, gives us power to love in all situations. Your Spirit fills us with joy and gladness. Your Spirit gives us peace in all circumstances. Your Spirit enables us to be patient – waiting on Your timing in all things. Your Spirit fills us with goodness. Your Spirit causes us to be filled with faithfulness and belief. Your Spirit enables us to be humbly gentle. Your Spirit gives us discipline and self-control! What grace, what unmerited favor
that You do all this for us! We
seek You as for hidden treasure. For
in You, all
the treasures of divine wisdom and insight into Your ways and purposes are
stored up and hidden. We rejoice as
we seek You knowing we will find
You! We rejoice for You have given
us the Comforter as a Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener,
and Standby who will teach us all we need to know to walk in Your perfect will!
We have the mind of Christ! Oh,
let us not take this for granted by grieving or quenching Your Holy Spirit in
any way! Pouring Forth With the comfort You have given
us, we are enabled to comfort others. The promises in Your Word that have made our own hearts leap
with joy and hope - will also cause joy and hope in those for whom we intercede
and those to whom we minister. Make
us undefiled conduits of Your love; vessels wholly consecrated to the Master’s
work. We are not sufficient in our
own ability; but You have qualified us as ministers and dispensers of a new
covenant! Not of the law which
kills, but of the Holy Spirit which ministers life!
We seek to do the will of our Father as we walk by the Spirit, having our
conduct controlled by the Spirit. Be
glorified in Your Holy people! Be
glorified in the redeemed! Be
glorified! Be glorified! May our prayer never become an idealistic aspiration. As we believe, we trust God’s word is effectually at work in us, exercising its superhuman power. We believe our God is faithful to fulfill His promises. (see I Thess. 2: 13) “So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11 References: A
