I.
The Bible is the inspired
Word of God. It is the only infallible source of God’s Truth, and its
authority supersedes all other sources. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20,21.
II.
There one God. He exists in
three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
John 5:4-7; II Corinthians 13:14.
III.
Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of
God, is fully God and fully man. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a
sinless life of love and compassion, and performed many miracles. His
death on the cross is the vicarious payment, the atoning sacrifice, for
the sins of the world. He was raised from the dead by the Father, and
ascended to the Father’s right hand. Matthew 1:23, 16:16; John 1:1-3,
3:16; I Peter 2:21-28; I Timothy 2:5; Philippians 2:6-11.
IV.
All have sinned. The only means of redemption and restoration back to God
is to trust in the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Only through
faith in Christ is one made righteous. I Peter 1:18,19; Romans 3:21-30.
V.
Repentance and faith in Christ brings salvation, and a new birth. Jesus
makes it clear that all must be born again. Those who are born from above
in Christ inherit eternal life. I Peter 1:18,19; Romans 3:21-30.
VI.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God promised by Jesus Christ,
available to all believers, subsequent to their new birth. One
evidence of this experience is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit
gives utterance. John 14:16-7; Acts 1:8, 2:4, 2:38-39, 10:44-46, 19:2-6.
VII.
The indwelling of the Holy Spirit enables the believer to lead a holy
life. Sanctification is a work of grace by God that begins with the
rebirth, and continually progresses as the believer applies himself
towards holiness with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:16;
Hebrews 12:14; I Thessalonians 5:23; II Corinthians 3:18; Philippians
3:12-14.
VIII.
In addition to the deliverance from sin, the atonement also provides
deliverance from sickness for all believers. Isaiah
53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; James 5:14-16; Psalm 128:1-2; I Peter 2:24; Proverbs
3:1-2, 13:21, 21:21; Deuteronomy 28:11, 30:15-16.
IX. The
Lord Jesus Christ will return to earth to bring His Church to heaven.
Those who have not put their faith in Christ will be cast into the outer
darkness to experience everlasting damnation. John 5:28-29, 14:3; I
Thessalonians 4:13-18. |
